Create iPhone, iPad And Android Apps Over The Web

Last week, the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco took place, where start-up Yapper showed off their new service to InformationWeek. The new service will allow ordinary non-programming folks to create their own mobile applications. The service will allow anyone to create iPhone, iPad, Android and even Blackberry apps in nothing but the web browser.

There’s a catch though, Yapper isn’t for developing just any application. You won’t be able to create your own game, it is for creating applications that grab RSS feeds. You can change the colors, icons and splash page of your application but the basic user interface is not changeable.

The Yapper service costs $199 for Blackberry and Android apps and $299 for iPhone and iPad apps. There is an extra $50 fee if you want to submit the application yourself rather than having Yapper be the publisher. If you want the output to operate as a web app that works on both iPhone and Android, it will be an extra $99 plus $50 if you want to send alerts to the end users.

In the video below, the brains behind Yapper sit down and show you how easy it is to create an app through their web interface.
